Fractionated Coconut Oil. Have you heard of it?

Do you know what Fractionated Coconut Oil is? Have you heard of it before? It is a carrier oil to help dilute your essential oils when making blends. Some Essential Oils are too strong and can irritate your skin. So I use the fractionated coconut oil to blend them.

Description

doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil is an all-natural carrier oil that readily absorbs into the skin, making it an ideal oil for topical delivery. Its feather-light emollient effect provides a soothing barrier without clogging pores and is excellent for dry or troubled skin. It leaves skin feeling silky smooth and non-greasy, unlike other vegetable carrier oils. Fractionated Coconut Oil is completely soluble with all essential oils and is colorless, odorless, and will not stain.

Uses

  • Apply topically to hydrate skin without interfering with your perfume or essential oil blends
  • Mix with calming oils and massage into neck and shoulders for deeper relaxation
  • Dilute stronger oils with coconut oil before applying topically to lessen sensitivity

Directions for Use

Use as a light carrier oil for topical applications of therapeutic-grade essential oils. Dilute one part essential oil to five parts or more of Fractionated Coconut Oil depending on skin sensitivity, or as directed on essential oil label. Can also be used to help minimize sensitive skin reactions to essential oils by applying directly to affected area. For topical use only.

Cautions

Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.

TMJ

Do you know what TMJ is….besides PAINFUL?!

TMJ disorders — a type of temporomandibular disorder or TMD — can cause pain in your jaw joint and in the muscles that control jaw movement. The exact cause of a person’s TMJ disorder is often difficult to determine. Your pain may be due to a combination of factors, such as genetics, arthritis or jaw injury.

It is painful! I know, I’ve been suffering from it! I have found a recipe that I thought I would try out and it has really helped with the pain!

I simply added

10 drops of Frankincense

10 Drops of Lavender

10 Drops of Copaiba

10 Drops of Peppermint

The rest Fractionated Coconut Oil in a 15ml roller bottle

Try it out! I put it on my jaw bone and down the side of my neck and just rubbed it in!

HORMONES!!!

Have you EVER been a hormonal wreck? Anyone ever call you “hormonal”? Have YOU ever called anyone hormonal? Maybe a teenage daughter, sister, mother or friend? Been there done that right?

I’ve found some more pretty cool labels this last week that help you track the essential oils you put in each blend.

The one we are going to focus on this morning is “Hormonal Wreck”.

Sounds self explanatory right?

This helps females balance hormones, stabilize emotions, eases worry, sadness, tension, muscle aches cramps and hopelessness. I was experimenting with the “right” amount of drops for each oil in here and what I’ve come up with is the following:

15ml roller bottle

15 drops of Clary Sage

15 drops of Marjoram

10 drops of Ylang Ylang

The rest of the bottle with Fractionated Coconut oil.

you can apply on your wrists, back of neck or across your forehead. Go ahead try it out and let me know what you think!

All of these labels can be found at AromaTools. I love that store and you’ll find amazing things there!

Alzheimer’s Disease

Do you know someone who has #Alzheimer’s Disease?

Alzheimer’s is a progressive and fatal disease that attacks and kills brain cells, causing a loss of memory and other intellectual capacities.

I’m sure if you don’t know someone who has the disease you know someone who does. It’s most commonly diagnosed in individuals over the age of 65. As the #disease progresses, individuals who have it often experience mood swings, long term #memory loss, confusion, irritability, aggression and then a decreased ability to communicate.

Most diseases are hard to watch a loved one get, but this one, to me is really sad. You have an individual who was so strong in their earlier years, not be able to live daily the way they were use to.

Do you remember the #diffusers that I talk about? Well we are going to get into that again.

There are 2 ways I would use oils to help with Alzheimer’s. Now remember, #essential oils do not cure it.

The first way is in the diffuser:

2 drops of #Coriander & 4 drops of #Lemon in a diffuser with water. Diffuse it 15 minutes daily.

The other way I would use it would be in a roller bottle:

5 drops of #Frankincense

5 drops of #Sandalwood

5 drops of #Cedarwood

Fill the remaining of the rollerbottle with #Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Apply this to the brain stem area on the back of the neck. I also applied this on the under side top of the big toe. I used this mixture on a loved one who had a stroke. Message me with any questions!! Feel free to share any of these posts with friends too!

Let’s talk Lavender

Who doesn’t like Lavender? What are some of your favorite uses for it? What is it good for? Have you ever used it? Well I have the answers.

Now I actually have 2 different Lavender available. The first is the 15ml bottle of the oils.

The first thing I think of when I hear Lavender is…RELAXED! I actually take this oil and put it in our diffuser in our room at night-time. I promise you, I had never slept so good! I actually turn on the diffuser about 30 minutes before I go to bed. I love the smell and how relaxed I get.

We also use this in the summer when those pesky mosquitos come out. When our boys get bit from being outside playing night games, they come in and put a little drop of Lavender on their bites. It makes it so they don’t think of them and they don’t itch!

Some of the benefits are:

  • Soothes occasional skin irritations
  • Taken internally, Lavender reduces anxious feelings and promotes peaceful sleep*
  • Helps ease feelings of tension.*

I also like the Lavender Touch which is also in the picture. It is already diluted with doTERRA Fractionated Coconut oil.

The Lavender Touch is a great oil for your collection and the benefits are:

  • Soothes occasional skin irritations
  • Provides a calming, relaxing effect
  • Calming to skin that’s been exposed to the sun or heat

Ways to use Lavender are:

Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
Internal use: Dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid.
Topical use: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize any skin sensitivity. See additional precautions below.

Cautions

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
